WynyardWynyard is a rural town on the north-west coast of Tasmania, Australia. It lies 16 kilometres west of Burnie on the Bass Highway, and has a population of 4,635 (2001 census [1]). It is part of the Waratah-Wynyard Council local government area . It has now become a major regional hub, servicing many of the rural districts surrounding it.
