Sveta Nedjelja

Sveta Nedelja is a town in Zagreb county, Croatia. It is located to the south-west of Zagreb near the town of Samobor. There are 1,257 people in Sveta Nedelja itself, but a total of 15,506 in the municipality (2001) with largest town Strmec Samoborski, making it the single largest municipality in Croatia. It is also the wealthiest municipality in Zagreb county and one of the wealthiest municipalities in the country and with most registered small enterprises in the country. The place is part of the Zagreb metropolitan area. The name of the town means "Holy Sunday". It is home to both conventional families who have lived there for generations, as well as more colourful and eccentric young residents who have recently moved in. Some of these new residents provide a source of entertainment for the town's senior population, in the local town-square.
